> Are there any age restrictions?

Travel2Egypt specializes in custom tours that are enjoyed by travelers of all ages. There are no age restrictions. If you are traveling with children or seniors we will advise you accordingly. Egypt is a very family-friendly destination.

> How big will our group be?

Each itinerary is private to your party. Your sightseeing tours are typically private or semi-private as per the detailed itinerary you receive via e-mail. Semi-private tours are in groups of about 10-15 people, depending on the activity in question (e.g. Sound and Light shows include larger groups of people).

> Do you have set arrival dates?

No, our itineraries are completely customizable and created to fit your arrival and departure dates. The only limitation to this would be the sailing schedule and length of the cruise you choose.

> What time do the sightseeing tours start?

Typically tours start early in the morning. Depending on how long your tour is, it may start anywhere from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM

> Do I need any vaccinations before I travel to Egypt?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the only vaccination requirement is if you’re flying from a country that has risk of yellow fever. You can read more on the WHO site here (simply click on Egypt on the map) - Click here

> Could you email me a brochure?

Travelive tries to be environmentally friendly in all the services it offers you. As such, we do not print brochures. All our offerings are listed on our website and your itinerary can be customized based on your preference. See some suggested itineraries - Click here

> Is international airfare included?

Please note that we do not offer international flights in house as we do not have set departures or rigid itineraries.

> Are entrance fees to museums and sites included?

All entrance fees to the sites listed in your itinerary are included. Extras, such as entrance to the Mummy Room and the Great Pyramid, can be added to your itinerary. Speak with your consultant about the various options.

> What currency is the quotation in?

All our quotations are in US Dollars (USD).

> What is your deposit and refund policy?

Please refer to the below chart for our cancellation and refund policy:
61+ Days prior to departure: $100.00 USD per person penalty plus any incurred fees
60 - 46 Days prior to departure: $250.00 USD per person penalty plus any incurred fees
45 - 31 Day prior to departure: 50% of total charges
Within 30 Days prior to arrival: 100% of total charges
Refunds will not be made for no-shows, early departures or unused services.
Refund requests must be made in writing and are processed within 60 days.

> What times are my domestic flights?

The flight times for your flights within Egypt will be given to you upon arrival in Cairo by your personal representative as sometimes flight schedules change last minute and your representative will be able to notify you of any changes while in Egypt.

> Do I need a visa for Egypt? How do I get a visa for Egypt?

Yes, you need a visa. For many nationalities, a visa can be acquired upon arrival at the Cairo airport. Please check with your consultant for more information regarding this. Please note that US and Canadian passports must be valid for three months after departure from Egypt.

Alternatively you can apply for and obtain a visa through your local consulate.

> Will we have a local contact while in Egypt?

Yes, you will be accompanied by a local representative who will be able to assist you with anything you’d like while in Egypt. Your trip will be confirmed via our local representative, which is based in Cairo. You will have an English speaking local representative who will be with you when touring in Cairo, you will also have a local representative based in Luxor or Aswan during your cruise.

> I have my international flights, how will you know when to pick me up?

As soon as we receive your international flight details we will forward to them to your local representative who will be responsible for picking you up at the airport in Cairo.

> I missed my flight! What should I do?

Please contact the local numbers that we provide and our representative will assist you.

> How do I reach the other cities from Cairo?

Connections between Cairo and Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh are flights, about 1-1/2 hours long.

> Is Egypt a safe destination?

Egypt is a very safe and tourist-friendly destination. Egyptians are very welcoming and friendly people. Our team personally inspects all the hotels we work with to ensure our clients the best comfort, location, safety, service and quality. We do not sell hotels at which we cannot guarantee these things.

> What is not included on my itinerary?

Your quotation outlines in detail everything that is included on your itinerary. Tips and personal shopping are not included.

> What currency is used in Egypt?

The official currency of Egypt is the Egyptian Pound (EGP or LE). US Dollars, Euros and other major currencies are widely accepted in touristic areas.

> When is the best time to visit Egypt?

The winter season is the best time to visit Egypt (i.e. November through March) as the temperatures are usually mild around that time. For temperature averages, please take a look at our Useful Information.

> What should I wear when traveling around Egypt?

In the winter it is recommended to bring sweaters and a light coat for the evenings. In the summer lightweight clothing and a light sweater for the evenings would be best.

Cairo is a cosmopolitan city and the law doesn’t require women to cover their heads and legs. Modesty in clothing should be observed year round. You can dress freely at the Red Sea resorts.
